Mooncast for May 7th to 13th
“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain!” Dolly Parton
Growing up, my favourite Bible story was Noah and the Ark. Growing up in Sunday school, when it was Noahs’ week, I would be all ears, taking in how Noah fearlessly listened to his inner knowing that the Ark had to be constructed. People thought Noah was out of his mind. However, Noah did not let their doubt side track him or fill him with doubt. The rains began, and Noah, his family and the animals were safe, weathering the storms that brewed outside and I’m sure inside as well.
Noah’s reward? A new life and a rainbow. The rainbow was a gift and a promise that as long as we (humanity) continued to show up in our discomfort, we would be gifted a fresh start.
The new moon in Taurus, May 11th, is our Noah and the Arc moment. It’s a new day and a fresh start with endless possibilities. When setting this new moon’s intention, think about the storms you’ll need to encounter to see the rainbow.
Know that your commitment to self will help you find comfort in the uncomfortable.
Trust that you possess the knowledge from past experiences to guide your arc or heart toward rainbows.
Witch Tip: Create a rainbow by making Sun Catchers. Pick beads that reflect the intentions you’ll be holding this lunar cycle. Hang in a window that catches the sun for the majority of the day, reminding you that every minute is an opportunity to start new.
