There’s magic around every corner…✨

And knowing this is what makes me happy!

In contemplating what I would write for this week’s topic, I came to the realization that magic is in my life every time I allow it to be. My first magical experiences came from books. Each one was a marvellous gateway to a world of imagination, suspense, adventure, knowledge, sadness, and love. Some of my favourites were the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, Anne of Green Gables, The Diary of Anne Frank, and I can’t even count how many times I read Charlotte’s Web!

Time spent with a book meant I could be a part of that time, that story and that adventure. Reading taught me how to visualize and use my imagination. Through the magic of words, I could enter alternate worlds, be in the minds of the characters, and time travel. It’s still my favourite form of entertainment.

Of course, as I got older, I learned to operate most often from the sphere of being realistic, logical and practical. But there were still moments—usually, when I was tired, sad, or even relaxed–that magic would visit. Little ‘coincidences’ (which I now refer to as co-operative incidences) or synchronicities that reminded me that sometimes I just need to get out of the way and be open to what’s possible beyond what I can imagine.

I believe this is why I’ve had a life-long interest in the metaphysical. Those topics that are not easily explained by logic or science. Reiki and other energy healing modalities, Law of Attraction, Manifestation, Visioning, Meditation, Tarot, Angels and Guides and more. My appetite to know more is voracious. The conversation with those willing to discuss always fascinating. What’s interesting is that some of these topics, previously thought to be nonsense, are now being able to be explained and proven. Since I decided this would be the topic I would be writing about this week, the Universe has jumped on board to show me that magic really is around every corner if we believe.

I see recurring numbers all the time, but this week they are everywhere!! On Sunday, I woke up to 777 vivid in my mind. This is an unusual one for me as I usually get 1111, 333, 444 and 555. Yesterday, I was at a Mastermind meeting and we were discussing what we want to create for our businesses next year. We got on the topic of manifesting magic and a colleague shared that her dream has always been to own a yellow Corvette. She is not in a position to own one right now but she recently put a $1,000 deposit down for a 2021 model to signal the universe that she intends to own her dream. On the way home from the meeting I stopped at the bank. As I pulled out of the mall parking lot, guess what was right in front of me…I’ve never reached for my phone so fast!! I sent her the picture and included it here for your enjoyment. Sure, a yellow Corvette isn’t my dream, but it was a magical moment and I loved the excitement of partnering with her and sharing this ‘co-operative incident’.

Later in the afternoon, I left the gym early as I was overwhelmed with anxiety thinking about a situation that a close family member is going through. As I drove out of the lot, I could feel the upset rising, getting stronger. I knew that if I kept focusing on it, it would only increase. So I said, out loud, ‘I need a little magic please.”. As I waited for another car pulling out in front of me I glanced up and noticed a fragment of a rainbow just above. I took off my sunglasses to make sure I wasn’t imagining it and sure enough, there it was. Instant magic! It was enough to slow the momentum of what I was feeling and shift my energy.

We are only halfway through the week and I can’t wait to see what other magical manifestations are in store!
