Light of Integrity

Integrity appears around you throughout your every day life. It can be a person of clergy, the cashier at the local store, your mom, or a dear friend. You just have to be aware and look forward it.
A person who holds true to the core of their being no matter what, honest and complete. A person with dignity no matter the storm. All traits I value.
I am a people watcher. I sit outside and observe. A person has integrity in the way they carry themselves. In their daily interactions. It is so natural to them. It is a flow of who they are.
I spotted integrity in the parking lot. Upon seeing it I screamed, “You’re amazing, thank you for being great.” There was no response from her, because my scream of delight was kept inside. I didn’t let her know.
I started beating myself up about this. Why couldn’t I say anything? I was spinning myself into a dark place when I thought, how many people have probably said that to me silently? How many silent “you’re a rockstar” have I probably received?
Today that is what I am holding onto. This silent integrity that is all around me every day. Exposing the good hearted people spreading light into the world. Reminding me that my light of integrity is shining across the horizon even when I am silent.
