The Oyster’s Way

 In Personal Coaching

When we get hurt, disappointed or even feel betrayed by another human’s behaviour, our common sometimes even consciously chosen reaction is to close down. The intention behind it is that when we don’t let anybody in we cannot get hurt ever again.

In the Body Code we have this concept of the Heart Wall. This is an energy wall the subconscious mind creates by using incompletely processed aka trapped emotions we hold in our bodies as building material creating a barrier to the heart. The unfortunate thing is that it thereby also blocks the heart from other impressions. Keeping the hurt out comes at the cost of experiencing less love, joy, intuition and other positive emotions.

Getting through a Heart Wall is a bit like opening an oyster: hard work. Talking about oysters: they have a different way of handling interference. When a grain of sand slips between the two oyster shells and the protective layer that covers the oyster’s organs it quickly covers the intruder with one layer of nacre, which is the substance the shells are made of, after another producing a treasure: a beautiful mother of pearl.

Interestingly enough the mother of pearl holds the energy that is an antidote for a disappointed and betrayed heart, which is the reason why it is used in therapeutic necklaces. Mother of pearl exudes the soothing and nurturing feeling of motherly love, protects from negative energy and repairs emotional wounds. Who wouldn’t want to open up to that?
