When I fall in love with something I give it all your energy. I feel it, I see it, I experience it. It’s the beginning seed of any dream becoming reality. When I bring light to something that I love, it flourishes. Whether it’s a relationship, a garden, a home, a career, or myself.
I am grateful for all the love in my life.
The love I have for my husband – it has grown our life into a beautiful friendship, built with trust and commitment. It has allowed our wings to spread, and has transformed us from young teenagers to mature adults. It allowed us to celebrate the bond we have, and to solidify it with marriage. Our love brought two beautiful healthy children into our home. I am grateful for the love we have for our business, allowing it to grow and flourish, and it also supports our family.
Love connects souls together to form friendships. The moments of laughter shared between girlfriends, as well as tears, therapy, support, or even a bottle of wine. It builds relationships we can rely on; I am grateful for all the beautiful friends I have in my life.
I am grateful for the love I have for nature. The mountains that we live within, the trees that surround us giving us shade and clean air. The lake we have in our town that will one day be our backyard view; I love my nature walks with my dog London. The moment of escape that allows me to just “be.” I love a summer night’s sky when the sun is setting and the clouds appear to be pink and illuminated. The smell after a rainfall, the feeling of the sun on my face. Everything about the ocean, the sand, the sound, the smell, the feeling. I am grateful for the stars at night when the sky is clear.
I am grateful for my love of fall. When the leaves on the trees change, giving us beautiful colours to admire. The mornings are cooler and the dress code is a sweater and tights (with boots of course). I love when the snow falls in the winter. I love Christmas and getting into the spirit of the holidays. I am grateful for my love of ice fishing, hockey, and being curled up in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea.
I am grateful for my love of music. Everything about it. The way a song can play and take me back to a memory that feels just like it was yesterday. It connects me to people and feelings. It can take me from a bad mood to an amazing mood. And there is nothing better than a favourite, most loved song comes on the radio when I’m driving.
Love is what keeps me happy. It’s all the little things wrapped up into one big heart. It can take me anywhere I want to go, or be anything I want to be. It’s just that powerful.
