OMG You’re a Ninja
Sherri:
I am a second degree Brown Belt in Kung Fu and also train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Here’s me submitting my partner.
What’s interesting about me especially in Kung Fu is that my weapon that I was know for is my fan. Yes a fan is indeed a weapon and here is me with my fan practicing for a New Year’s Eve Banquet and Black Belt Ceremony.

What I consider is the most interesting is that I have no desire to grade for my Black Belt. Maybe some day, but not now because I don’t see the point. I won’t get a pay raise, and I can do everything with a Black Belt that I can do now.
Should I do decide to grade for my Black Belt, it will be on my terms and be something that I really want.

This is so cool, Sherri! I did karate for a time and loved it. I met a fascinating woman earlier this year who is very involved in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I admire the commitment that you both share for this sport/art. I can understand what you mean when you talk about being graded. I think your mindset around this is fantastic, doing it for yourself. And I love that your weapon is the fan – it can definitely distract!
